Unity Business Solutions Celebrates 23rd Year Anniversary

Unity Business Solutions will celebrate 23 years of service in September. They opened in September of 1987 in CountrySide as a PrintHouse Express Franchise. PrintHouse Express operated as an independent printing operation in Leesburg, Reston and Vienna under the ownership of Tom Galloway and Steve Elliott, both long time residents of Loudoun County. The CountrySide location was the first of over twenty PrintHouse Express franchises opened in the Washington DC Metro Area between 1987 and 1994. In 1994 having saturated the Washington printing market, Tom Galloway sold his franchise rights to the nationally known Insty-Prints Corporation. Tom went on to Insty-Prints management and the local Washington stores continued to flourish under the new franchise system. In the Spring of 2000, Mizerak moved his print shop to a state of the art facility off of Woodland Road in Sterling. Near the end of 2002, the Insty-Prints franchise was absorbed into a much larger network of print shops, the Allegra Network. Allegra is one of the world’s foremost print and imaging franchises, known for its advanced printing technologies and highly trained consultative sales staff.

At the end of 2007, after a 20 year relationship with the various print franchises listed above, owner, John Mizerak decided not to renew his franchise contract. The operation changed it’s name to Unity Business Solutions and moved to Leesburg in December of that year.

In March of 2010, because of the growth of the web development division and the inability to properly support both business divisions, Unity again partnered with Allegra of Dulles in order to support print-production. This gave the staff of Unity the ability to focus soley on website design and development and marketing consulting. The partnership between Unity and Allegra affords Unity customers expanded production services, as well as a newly expanded sign division, and it affords Allegra’s customers expanded web services. Allegra Print, Signs and Design will be relocating their office from the current Chantilly location to a state-of-the-art facility near Dulles Airport later this year to support the growth caused by the merger.
